The Association of Sacramental Ministries (ASM) is the all-encompassing and governing body of only sincere and legitimate cannabis churches that exist across the United States. Based in Southern California, ASM and its member churches hold cannabis as an entheogenic and sacred healing sacrament that is central to their beliefs and has the ability to directly link oneself’ to the Holy Spirit – or other Divine power they seek - through religious and spiritual rituals.
ASM and its members also believe that Cannabis - being used as a sacrament amongst all major religions for over 7,000 years - holds key to creating everlasting peace and end thousands of years of war and suffering between religions worldwide.
Cannabis has a long history in India dating back to 2000 B.C. when it was first mentioned in The Athraveda, or sacred Hindu texts. These writings described cannabis as one of the five sacred plants and referred to cannabis as a source of happiness; a releaser of anxiety, and liberator that was compassionately given to humans to help us achieve divination.
According to scriptural texts, Jesus and his disciples used the cannabis to carry out miraculous healings. The anointing oil used by Jesus and his disciples contained an ingredient called kaneh-bosem which has since been identified as cannabis extract
Taoism dates back as far as 4th century China where ancient texts have noted the effective use of cannabis incense as a cleansing tool. Taoist teachings emphasize the use of cannabis to help achieve the state of “naturalness”, by relieving the anointed of selfish desires and aiding in the appreciation of beauty and simplicity
